Looks like I have not screwed up any formalities (yet: the voices chime in), and so, starting August 20 and ending at some point several years onwards (minus vacation time), I will be living in Boston. I know it's a long shot, but maybe there's somebody fannish on my friendslist who might want to hang out?

Oh, how splendid! -- Or at least, I certainly hope you'll find it splendid. I didn't even know this was a possibility!

I'm not in Boston, but I get there from time to time, and I'd love to hang out at some point when I'm there.

Yay! I will be overjoyed to meet you in RL, rather than fangirling you online from afar!

I've already been to Boston, and it is definitely one of my favourite cities (whale-watching! museums! the aquarium!), so I'm torn between being excited and being panicked about not meeting the expectations of my PhD program and whatnot.
