I sometimes abuse ampersands

YESSSS You've watched the whole thing! :DDD Your thoughts about canon are precisely my thoughts about canon. I also find that S1 was sort of... equal parts good and terrible, so overall blah. S2 was really good about Will/Hannibal and really terrible about everything else. S3 was even more extreme, 50% of it was unwatchable and 50% was DID THAT JUST HAPPEN ON MY SCREEN?

Also Murder Husbands IS a fandom moniker! :D The creator took it from fandom and put it in the show in S3. He's very, very involved with fandom, and when the show ended basically wrote that the show was his Hannibal fanfic, and it's no different in terms of validity than anyone else's, and he's just so delighted to have been part of this amazing fandom, etc.

(A lot of the second half of S3 in general was, I think, the result of the creator being so close with fandom. Like it wasn't your imagination that it seemed like an AO3 fic, just like he openly incorporated Murder Husbands into it. I'm not saying he used fic as inspiration for scripts, but he definitely let himself go a lot, a LOT more tropey in S3 thanks to fandom's influence and encouragement.
