I sometimes abuse ampersands

There's an AU setting that I keep carrying around from fandom to fandom, like a stinky dead albatross around my neck (ubiquitous Coleridge references: totally relevant when it comes to porn, absolutely). AFAIR, I wrote it only twice, and always at drabble length, because a full-blown fic would require too much research; but I crave it always.

Well, the zombie albatross finally caught up to me in the current fandom, and I was hit with this need-want-crave-now for an AU where Harry's a war correspondent, and Merlin's his long-suffering editor. I posted a prompt at the usual place, but let's be real, what are the chances.

If any of you know of any war correspondent AUs where I could do a quick search-and-replace, please rec away, you kindly souls. Fuck, I have no idea how or when I got imprinted on war correspondents in the first place, but it aligns with all my narrative kinks in this blissful line of awesomeness.
