Weeds is a Showtime TV series about a widow who decides to take up drug-dealing to support her two kids & a whole array of friends in varying stages of exciting neuroses & financial ruin. It has social satire that is occassionally funny (even if anvilicious), it passes the Bechdel test (& I owe it my all-time femslash OTP - Nancy/Celia FTW!), it has several gay & lesbian characters which are still alive & never treated as a running gag - what's not to love? But the recent plot developments are making me deeply uncomfortable.
